Delhi Laxmi Yojana 2026 : Details

  • The primary goal of the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana is to grant monthly financial support to women from economically weaker backgrounds and enhance their financial independence. The Delhi Government has allocated ₹5,110 crore for the scheme in the 2026–27 budget. Formerly known as the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana, the initiative has been rebranded as Delhi Lakshmi Yojana. According to the official notification published by the Department of Women and Child Development, Delhi Government, on 6 August 2026, the scheme came into force on 1 August 2026 and will initially operate for three years. Benefiting eligible women will receive ₹2,500 per month, transferred directly into their savings bank accounts via digital channels. The program focuses on boosting women's self-reliance, decision-making powers, and financial freedom.

How Will Women Receive ₹2,500 Every Month?

  • Option : 1
  • ₹1,500 per month will be credited to an RD (Recurring Deposit) or FD (Fixed Deposit) account. ₹1,000 will be provided via a CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) wallet, usable strictly for government-approved essential goods.
  • Option : 2
  • Applicants also hold the option to receive the entire ₹2,500 monthly payment directly into an RD (Recurring Deposit) or FD (Fixed Deposit) account.

Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Form 2026 : Who Can Apply?

  • The applicant must be a female resident between 21 and 60 years of age.
  • The family's total annual income must not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
  • The applicant or her family must have resided in Delhi for at least 10 years.
  • Benefits under this scheme can be claimed by only one woman per family.
  • Preference will be given to the oldest eligible female member of the family.

Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Form 2026 : Who Will Not Be Eligible?

  • Women who pay Income Tax are not eligible.
  • Women who file GST returns cannot apply.
  • Government employees or women whose family member works in a government department or PSU are ineligible.
  • Women getting benefits under any other government financial assistance scheme are excluded.
  • Families that own a four-wheeler vehicle are not eligible.
  • Families with annual power consumption exceeding 2,400 units are ineligible.
  • Families having more than three children are not allowed to apply.
  • Women having any criminal record are not eligible.
